I've only got one data point to offer on the subject, but the other day, my bag from a LAX-JFK flight arrived fifth on the carousal. That has NEVER happened at JFK before. I was standing next to a couple of other J cabin passengers and their bags were second and fourth to arrive on the carousal.

sukn. My recent experience was coming from LHR to ORD on a very late flight. GF's and my luggage were first 3 bags off, which made it possible to clear customs and make a 42 minute international connection for flight back to LAX. Customs agent said the premium markings that helped us.
