Just got this email:

"BigLar,

You are being upgraded to platinum level with Marriott based on the number
of stays you have had recently. This will be good for the calendar year
2004; in order to renew the level for 2005, you will need to stay 75 nights
during this year. The new status should be showing in the computer within a
day or two and your card will come in the next few weeks.

I had about 22 nights in 2003 (paid) and about 70 on Priceline. So far this year, every week has had a stay and from 2 to 4 nights.

I called them, but it got complicated, so I copied all the receipts and mailed it to them with a nice cover letter.

There's not much they can do for me at a Fairfield, but when I want to use the points at 47 Park Lane ....
