It turns out that Desert Springs was not available for points when i called back to reserve, so i went with the Esmeralda- the Shadow Ridge just doesn't seem to have the ameneities of the resorts (big nice pool for hanging w/ the kids, couple of restaurants for the wife and I to chose from...). So we'll see how it goes. I'll keep checking on availability at Desert Springs until departure tomorrow (maybe I'll get lucky).</font>
Ask for a corner room, especially if you need a rollaway for one of your children. You may be successful contacting the hotel in advance about this.
