JW Phuket: Any recent experience?

I am going to be in Phuket in February for 6 nights and have been reading about the JW.

How does it compare to some of the other hotels in the area (I.E. Sheraton Grand Laguna)? Should I spend all 6 nights there or should I spend 3 and 3 somewhere else?

Any other thoughts?
