Even the Bazaar staff member who we chatted to for a good 30 mins made mention of the crowd that the SLS attracts on weeekends.

The Andaz staff member said Diamonds received ONE $25 credit. Not per person. I agree the staff were confused. The room was booked for 2, on the AAA BREAKF rate. Regardless, I would be happy to accept a $25 credit pp, if I had been informed. Seems to be a lack of information and training. I know Andaz is not Hyatt, but the PH Washington for example made it clear we could order anything from the breakfast menu or buffet and it would be free.

There is the Penthouse Sunset Suite, but I reiterate that the Corner Deluxe Room we were given was 2 interconnecting rooms. To describe them. Room 819 had a wrap around leather sofa, a large flat TV Screen, a high dining table made in marble (or to look like) and 4 high steel stools with a modern crystal chandelier above it. There was also the former balcony made into the sunroom with another tv, and 2 armchairs and ottoman. In this room were also a set of wooden drawers and a bathroom. The connecting room had a King size bed, a wardrobe, drawers, another flat TV and another bathroom of the exact size. Make of it what you will but I certainly would consider it a suite. I was very glad that the bedroom wasn't on Sunset as the noise was rather loud at night; people, traffic etc. It was far quieter on the other side of the hotel.

I adore the hotel, and will definitely return.
I've stayed at both Andaz & SLS and find the assessment to be pretty much inline (not sure I would agree about the staff but certainly from the crowd that it draws - especially since the SLS has a huge bar scene while the Andaz is much more limited).

Your Corner Deluxe is not the "regular" Corner Deluxe - they must have created another "real suite".

Andaz IS part of Hyatt much as the staff there likes to claim that they're not part of Hyatt (like they did the morning after the Hyatt Do that was held there). I would be very upset if they didn't grant breakfast for 2 people in one room.
