Most agents will say you have to redeposit and start from scratch, and your hard to find standard award might not go into inventory. Yes...this is exactly what they told me...But the agent also said that the technology to change a segment within the itern. has been developed and is ready to be deployed anytime now.....but, unfortunately for me, it is not live yet....the ability to change flights within your itern., IMHO, should be there, just as if it were a revenue ticket, and get a refund (or pay more) miles. Any day now, from what she says.
My biggest problem is that I am holding a F UA ticket to GIG, Holiday time...and I have a strong suspicion, that if I cancel my current reservation, I may never see the F pop back into inventory as a reward seat....then, I'd be really up a creek!
Anyway, please keep me informed if you hear anything else.....
