We had a stupendous dinner lastnight at La Strada on University
A Wild mushroom bruschetta - a delectable margharita pizza with fresh tomatoes and a fab lamb ragu, with wide pasta tubes my mom used to call "sewer pipes"
Excellent service; we initially ordered their pizza with prosciutto; the server warned us that it was more like a bread salad, served cold. She recommended the margarita with added prosciutto, which sounded great. When the pizza arrived it was sans prosciutto - and we were very hungry so we said, just leave the pizza....a few min later she returned with a platter of prosciutto, gratis , saying "it'd be a shame for you not to try it." It was AWESOME. Now that's what I call service.
pricey wine list but I had a glass of Krug Sauv Blanc that was also awesome.
We had no room for dessert but they looked...you got it...AWESOME!
