Hi bodory,
Actuallt I posted this in the French forum voyageforum.com
I got this information from the FB Amex Gold line yesterday (Sunday, 11/23) when asking about a better insurance coverage.
Basically, I discovered that the healthcare insurance of roughly 150.000 € is not what it looks like. It's not a coverage of that amount, just some money lent to you by Amex. Their actual coverage is 6000 € only! Let's face it: in the US, I might get an Aspirine for that amount ;-)
Compared to Visa Premier and Gold Mastercard, who both offer an actual coverage of 150.000 €, Amex's Gold is BS.
So I complained about it, saying that I needed better service. The agent told me tigh away: "In January, we will have a FB Amex Platinum card. But we won't get information on price, coverage and services until December".
So I will call back ;-)
I fear though that it won't be a "real" Platinum. I can't see AF offering i.e. a Priority Pass to competitors' lounges... and I can't imagine AF widening the PP to their lounges (well, hopes dies last we say in France).
