German efficiency is a myth.
And I have to say I prefer my Germany inefficient and a bit chaotic.

When traveling in Business or First on LH, I try to always board last. I have a preassigned seat, enough place for my hand luggage. I do not get, why it is imperative to be on board first.

Although I appreciate everyone trying to storm the plane, as it gives me the possibility to sit and wait and watch the turmoil. If everyone would do it like me, the plane would not get filled

The only reason for me to try to board as early as possible is in case I am traveling in a party and booking slash seat reservation was messed up and we would need to convince a fellow pax to change seats in order to sit together.

But if you prepare your travel that happens very very seldom.
