FA thinks the 752 has Directv
This by no means bashing this FA, but its just funny how sometimes the passengers know more about the plane...
Flight 88 (EWR-IAH) on 11/22, on a 757-200. As we get above 12,000 ft. one of the FA's announce that this flight is equipped with AVOD and headsets cost $1, same announcement on a 752 as always. Another flight attended comes through and just starts giving out headset and not charging for them. At first I thought maybe she was being generous, but after overhearing some questions from other passengers she seemed to think that we were on a plane with Directv. She stated to one passenger that the announcement was incorrect. The headsets were free but you have to pay for the programming. See informed some passengers that they must swipe their card on the display to see any programming. Other passengers as well as myself began to look at each like WTH is she doing, this is a 752. Some of the experienced flyers told her that this flight didnt have Directv, but she seemed certain that it did and continued to give out headsets.
Nothing else came about from this, and didn't see anymore conversation about it. Just thought it was funny that the passengers knew more about the aircraft they were on than the FA.
