I know returning to US at MIA is a PITA. This still gets you there with only 3 stops and well under $800.
MIA is getting better with C now closed and D being expanded. You could still be in for a long walk (from E or from one end of D to the other) but that actually would be a good way to shake out the cobwebs out of your system. Plus, the ACs at MIA have showers.
