I live about six miles south of the hotel - the area is mixed, mostly commercial (Citrix headquarters building is a block west of the hotel, for instance). The hotel was originally built as an Embassy Suites a couple of decades ago in their "Spanish Mission with an atrium" style, but it has flown the Sheraton flag for quite a number of years.

The tracks are the CSX tracks, which carry freight, Amtrak (not too many trains) and also the multi-county Tri-Rail commuter trains (IIRC they run from 05:00 to 23:00 on weekdays, less on weekends).

On the other side of the tracks, there is a smallish shopping center with a selection of restaurants (Longhorn Steakhouse, Sweet Tomatoes, Hooters, a diner, a sports bar and a so-so Italian place (that used to give iDine miles). There is also a 16-screen Regal Cinema multiplex with stadium seating. The Steak and Ale and the Bennigans that used to be within walking distance both went under when Bennigans declared Chapter 7.

IIRC parking is free, contrasting with the $10 per night that the Westin (on the opposite side of I-95) charges.
