There are two passengers travelling together and on the same booking ref. number. The tickets have been charged in my friend's (Mr.) name and there are NO issues with his name. His wife will be travelling with him and I used her nick name as opposed to her passport name for the ticket..
I DID call the Thai office in Bangkok and explained to them but the agent said that her only option is to buy another ticket..

So as I see it, she can be denied boarding because the name does not match with her passport. I will try to request a name change with the L.A. office when it opens on Monday and hopefully find a resolution..
