YVR Fast Track is a joke. The other day one of the CATSA agents walks up to the guy at the door and tells him to not send through any non-fast track people to the dedicated lane any more.

They send through any First Class Passengers, any P/S/SE's and anyone who needs assistance through it. Other than the P/S/SE's, 95% of the other groupings either set off the metal detector, or the leave liquids in their bags despite being asked 3 times if they had liquids or gels. If you took these groups away from the P/S/SE line, that line would be the quickest security checkpoint out there.

That's why I like the US system where people go in the line depending on how experienced of a traveller they are....allows for heckling on the other side if they try to go in a line they don't belong in!
