pred02, I am looking forward to reading your impressions and packing list. Good luck on that trip, too. Sounds really interesting.

Some people are wrapped a bit tightly

I remember when you told me not to degrade my reputation or my employers by wearing jeans in Cambridge. I understood your opinion, but disagreed and so ignored it. I like wearing jeans, Im comfortable in them. I certainly wasnt upset by your comments though, in fact it reminded me of some amusing instances. The most amusing was when I was making frequent trips to Japan, and meeting lots of men in dark suits, while wearing jeans. Finally one one of the trips I was schedule to meet Prime Minister Koizumi. My main Japanese collaborator called me and said, "GadgetFreak, I know you always wear jeans and that is okay when you meet with us, but please, you can not meet our Prime Minister wearing jeans". I told him not to worry and had a dark blue suit custom made for the occasion (I didnt have a suit at the time). He was very troubled on the phone though (and yes I know jeans are crappy for packing and am seriously considering abandoning them or cutting back on them because of that).

In any case, while occasionally disagreeing with you, I appreciate the knowledge and enthusiasm you lend to the forum.
