How was the pool? Big?

Good size, with one of those fake sandy beaches on one side. That feature was being refurbished or something on our last visit.

enough chairs, some space between the chairs or ontop of one another?

Sorry, don't remember. IIRC the pool wasn't very busy (March), so it probably wasn't an issue or I would remember. This link might be helpful.

Food here?

Breakfast every day of stay (included with our rate) was average - expensive if you had to pay. Our only room service dinner was outstanding (and using Marriott Elite two-for-one coupon only made it better). Otherwise dined off-site.

Good rooms to askfor

Corner room - they're huge. I wrote in advance to G.M. the last time to guarantee one as we had whole family along.

$ for parking?

Self-park was free and close, so couldn't figure out why anyone used the $ valet. Lots of expensive cars there though.</font>
This place is a former Stouffer (always liked them) and isn't as "stuffy" as say, Desert Springs. It can usually be had for a reasonable rate, even at peak times of the year. I guess it's not as popular with the real Palm Springs folks due to its out-of-the-way location, but we liked it fine. We got an award stay there once during the big annual tennis tournament, and although not tennis fans we ran into several of the big stars staying there. Saw the Williams sisters a couple of times and had breakfast next to a male Russian tennis player (whose name I won't even attempt to spell) and his agent/interpreter. Former US President Gerald Ford was also giving a lecture there during one of our stays. Security everywhere. I'd rate it second in the area after Desert Springs, without having seen the new JW yet.
