Even with the Deltafied mileage requirements I have been able to book 100k BE awards to the EU and 120k RT's to several places in Asia. Those miles represent 6!!! Round trips in BE to Hong Kong, Bangkok, Tokyo, etc.
They used to post back within an hour but I given the issues I would not be too concerned at just a couple days. You have the proof that you canceled the trip and I would just call every day until they are back in.

ya, as the days passed on by, I kept thinking how ridiculously high 740K mile redemption was for two BE tickets. Now, I just need my miles back.
The past few days, the award calander for JFK to SYD is showing a lot more availability in lower to medium range for the next few weeks, so at least its promising that I'll still be going and wont lose my Virgin Blue airfare. Fingers crossed!
