Interlining Baggage on 2 seperate intineraries
Oh wise Flyertalk Sages,
Much like the OP I am flying from ORD to ISB on two tickets. My first two legs , ORD-IST and IST-DXB are on an UA MP FC award ticket on TK.
My third leg, DXB-ISB is on PK and a separate ticket. These two tickets are not combined on one PNR.
I have flown on UA IAD-DXB and checked bags all the way thru to ISB with an interline to PK but I bought the two tickets from a Travel Agent that was able to combine the two tickets on one PNR.
I am begging for some solid info here based on experience or what you've heard... Provided TK and PK have an interline baggage agreement, and considering I am flying FC on TK, what are my chances of getting TK to check my bags all the way to ISB via my connecting PK flight ?? Should I call TK or UA to combine the two tickets on one PNR ? Would I have a better chance calling UA 1k reservations to combine the two tickets into one PNR ?? You wise counsel is most greatly appreciated.
