The bar does face the golf course. As you go in the lobby, the bar is straight to the back.
As a plat, I always get a room on the club floor (nice club lounge by the way) but always just a standard king room, nothing special.

I've been to all 3 hotels & live in Manhattan Beach.

LB Marriott - it's a good hotel but not near anything/is next to LB Airport. Unless it was a lot less $$ than the other 2 & you had a rental car or you needed to be near the airport for an early morning flight, I wouldn't bother.

LB Renaissance - This is on Ocean/Pine & near a # of things. Rooms (even on exec level) are ok, not fancy (but good view if you're facing ocean). It's a good location w/ lots to do & good restaurants in the area. No shuttle that I'm aware of, so cab ride or car rental. Has valet & self-parking.

MB Marriott - Next to the golf course/country club. Restaurants/bars/movie theatres in the area; ocean a couple of miles away. I've had friends stay there but I haven't so can't give you a room report. Think the bar faces the golf course. As mentioned, park on the street rather than the paid parking.

I'd go w/ LB Ren or MB Marr depending on what you're looking for/why you're in town, etc.
