If you are selected as a test participant, you will receive an email the day before arrival indicating whether or not you have been upgraded. The first hotel that will be using these pre-stay emails will be the Sheraton New York Hotel & Towers with seventeen others worldwide to soon follow suit. The first of these should be sent in the next day or so. Regardless, SPG looks forward to hearing from anyone here at Flyertalk that may be chosen to participate in this pilot program regarding how you feel about it and any suggestions that you feel could make it better…other than an absolute, guaranteed upgrade, that is.

I just got an email from The Sheraton Towers Nyc today I was Upgraded for my stay on November 21 ......Wow it is 5 days before and not 1 day....Nice for sure to get news.....I have been staying there for the past 12 years maybe it helps...

Looking forward for other hotels to be doing the same for their loyal PLT MEMBERS !
