I agree! Everytime I fly to Toronto domestically arriving in the PM there seems to be a major baggage delay. It takes forever! Even sometimes arriving internationally in the very early AM!

And I've also noticed the Priority Baggage tag doesn't seem to mean much (at any airport). Usually I notice a handful of priority bags come off NEAR the start, then the remainder are sort of mixed in randomly right until the end. Occasionally my bag is amongst those first. Once, recently, my wife and I flew to YYZ from YVR and both our bags were priority tagged (checked in at the same time). Her bag came off nearly first followed by about half the bags from the flight. Then they had a luggage handling equipment failure and, after an hour delay, the remaining bags, including my priority tagged bag, came out!

And while were on the topic of meaningless (but cool-looking) priority items, has anyone else ever gone through the YVR priority security queue and found that people going through the regular queue get through quicker??
