Glad you made the connection but here's another tip...whenever I'm flying to/through an airport I'm not too familar with I look at the back of the airline mag for a map of the airport so I know what I'm doing upon deplaning....I know the DL Sky Mag has maps of all of their global hubs and focus cities - the DTW Map does show the tram, tram stations and which gates each station serves - perhaps this would have helped
I did look at Sky mag. I did see the train station on the map, but after coming up from that hallucinatory tunnel, it took some time to get my eyes used to the bright lights of the concourse...
I had to make a split second decision -- screw around trying to find a station entrance with no good signage or go for the sure thing of the moving sidewalk pointing to the general direction I needed to go -- all while my eyes were adjusting to really bright light again...
