I'm not saying you can't do it -- I am saying you could do it a lot easier and with less stress if you know what you are doing.
Glad you made the connection but here's another tip...whenever I'm flying to/through an airport I'm not too familar with I look at the back of the airline mag for a map of the airport so I know what I'm doing upon deplaning....I know the DL Sky Mag has maps of all of their global hubs and focus cities - the DTW Map does show the tram, tram stations and which gates each station serves - perhaps this would have helped
