They have to do something concerning elite security at SFO. The current elite "line" is usually terrible. I try to always head to the aforementioned "secret" checkpoint, or head down to AA/AC and use their security.
Today, after checking in for a hopper flight to LAX and finding out there was a gate change to the i/t, I walked past where the Premier line USED to be and was directed all the way down to the very end in front of the bridge to the i/t. Found an empty line with four TSA/checkpoint types milling about and walked in. Wound up that I was in the GS line and the 1K line was next door. So they continued yakking and I went over to the proper line.
The passage to the i/t was crowded with lots of people heading in both directions and a fair number who were lost. Although it was nice to be in "my" part of the airport, it seemed weird to see the little 319 packed in with the 777s and 747s that populate the i/t.
Then, after I land and am eating lunch, I get the email from UA, "Premium Check-In has Moved". Talk about timing!
