Actually it's not scary at all.
I was just making fun of the fact that for years we've been told how dangerous it is to have cell phones and WiFi and BlueTooth and and and... operating on the plane. Now they are inviting you to do exactly that.
And of course in doing so are demonstrating that us skeptics were right all along.
