I just spoke to 2 co-workers who drove back from NY last night. They were indeed tossed out of the Marriott Marquis - apparently the backup power systems failed (wonder when they were last tested). One managed to get to another co-worker's room at the W, where he crashed on the floor. The other wandered the streets for the night.
