At certain times, it would be nice to have... at others I too want to be disconnected. What I really find interesting, is that AC has chosen a $9.95 USD introductory price.

Every other carrier is realizing uptake isn't what they hoped, and has either dropped their price, or are looking for sponsorship agreements to cover the costs. How many people on a flight are really going to spend $10 (exchange rate aside) for 4 hours of internet use, especially after the novelty has worn off? 2? 4? 10 (yeah right)?

Many of the other carriers have published their usage stats at various pricing levels.. and uptake at free is not as high as you would might think. Change that price to $1.99 and usage drops way down. Raise it to $7 and forget it.

AC will figure this out... and hopefully their wifi charges will go the way of the in-flight entertainment charge!
