Of I don't know how many stays (definitely over 200) at Marriott and Renaissance hotels, the only upgrades I have had other than Club Floors are at:
1) Marriott Middleton, WI
2) Renaissance Toronto Skydome
3) Renaissance Lodge Sonoma, CA
4) Marriott Minneapolis Downtown

In my opinion Marriott is very good at giving me Club/Conceirge floor rooms, but not at suite upgrades.
