I don't know if we have any corporate "lurkers" on this board other than Socrates (who as I understand it helps us on his own free time and in an unofficial capacity) but if we do, maybe this is a good thread to report the platinum experience with upgrades. This feed back might help corporate know how well their recently added emphasis on fulfilling the Platinum program commitments is going. My suggestion is that we post both positive and negative results here to give them a complete picture. In addition it may help the rest of us know what to expect when we check in.

6/18 – 6-21: Covington KY Marriott. Booked dbl room. No upgrade or upgrade to concierge floor. I am fairly sure the hotel was booked when we checked in as I had to use the Platinum guarantee to even get a room. We had access to concierge room. Nice hotel by the way.

6/22 – 6/24: LIT CY I had to ask for upgrade. Desk clerk sort of said she was new and did not always remember that we were supposed to get upgrade. Stayed here two weeks ago and did not get upgrade and did not ask for at the time. Was given king suite, which was nice since I have been interviewing reps for the past two days
