Definitely gotta say thanks to Marriott for a step in the right direction, even though I am usually at the higher end properties and thus will be forced to shell for DSL out of my own pocket since this is not covered by my employer.

Does anyone else find it ironic that this benefit is offered at the low priced properties and NOT at the higher priced business hotels (no doubt due to competitive forces)?

IMO, a smarter business model would be to:

(1) offer unlimited telecom service for $5/day or $10/visit for the Fairfield and Courtyard properties, thus covering some costs.

(2) offer free high telecom services to preferred members at all properties (much as Wyndham does) thus offering an additional benefit/incentive to their best customers.
