Assuming UA's and CO's IT departments can make all this new stuff work, 1K is now the best published status tier to have across all FF programs world wide.
As to whether this is an accident or not, I have to give credit where credit is due. Tilton and Company just laid a massive hurt on DL and AA, (and BA can't be very happy either), and have out maneuvered all of them. I don't think the battle for the top tier elite is over, AA and DL just have to react to this, and we will reap the benefits. Unfortunately for CO, I think CO top elites have to be mulling over crediting to M+ now. Ditto LH, AC, US, SK, ...
