Right. Thanks. obscure2k, the sticky doesn't deal with hotel chambermaids but deals only with waiters/waitresses, porters/bellboys, and taxis. meester, I have found numerous threads on philosophy but haven't found the equivalent of the sticky. What I'm looking for is thread that lays out customary maid tips in various countries.

Do non-Americans tip maids in Switzerland, Spain, Paris, etc.? If so, what's the norm? meester say no, except in Mexico.
