I was just looking at AUS-DFW-PDX-DFW-AUS at $99 each way and thinking that wasn't so bad.
I've also seen some flights returns offered say SMF-LAX-MIA-DFW-AUS.
But yeah, it isn't great. The Segments runs can be helpful though.
