I booked a room under the recent offer and came there without high expectations. They upgraded me to massive suite (incl. kitchen).

The staff was really great. I had missed a connection and arrived at the hotel only early in the morning to have a shower and a quick nap. They offered (without being asked) to change my rate to a dayrate.

Agreed, the hotel is tired. However, the rate was more than reasonable for NYC and with that kind of upgrade I cannot complain. The location is great.
