I actually thought that you could only change to a *choice* seat and not an exit row at the 24 hr window. The web site is rather fuzzy on this in that they say that the exit row is exclusively used for elite members. Were you trying for a choice or exit row?
Tried both. Neither worked. Oh well, it's only an hour flight.
