The distance to Front St. is walkable, it is more than 1/4 mi, I guess, but not 3 mi, maybe 1.5 mi, whatever, but the point is you have to travel on a highway so it really wouldn't be safe.

By the way, IMHO the best frozen drink in the area is made right at the resort, the Lava Flow at the poolbar. Its basically a banana strawberry daquiry that is to die for. The only bad thing is they have a happy hour for them at 11AM, for some strange reason.
