I agree completely. One of the most boring and insipid movies I have ever viewed (gay or straight).
When you get to the end, the only question that can be asked about "Boy Culture" is whether this movie is even worse than "Sex, Politics & Cocktails." I submit that "Boy Culture" is marginally better, because "Sex, Politics & Cocktails" has a "perfect low score" of 0% on rottentomatoes.com. An unheralded triumph for the worst gay movie ever. How "Boy Culture" then gets 70% is a greater mystery, but there is no accounting for taste. I realize I am in the minority, but I was in the minority in 2007 when it came to pulling my money out of the stock market as well.
If you are talking about gay movies released since 2000, my favorite would have to be "Latter Days." Excellent script, acting, and being able to identify with genuine characters (instead of stereotypes). Even the most jaded among us can get involved with the two lead characters.
