If you are Elite Plus, you will find a fast track security checkpoint "Acces n°1" to your left, right under the departures display screen. Otherwise, you can either turn left earlier, where the signs for the toilets are and use the secondary security checkpoint, or proceed past the "Acces n°1" checkpoint to the main 2F Schengen security checkpoints.
This is quite helpful I think as a general reference also.
I've been checking here for my own upcoming flight, that is:
* arrive CDG-1 from RIX on BT at 13:20 (bad thing: bags won't be checked through as BT has no inter-line agreement with DL, I asked them; but good thing is BT is generally punctual and seems to manage to get their bags out rather quickly)
* depart CDG-2E to ATL on DL at 16:10 (...then overnight in ATL before ATL-MSP-HNL the next morning, as with DL unlike with CO a same-day connection EU to HNL is strictly impossible: really bad (total lack of) coordination of flight schedules on the behalf of DL)
That is almost three hours, so I've always thought it should be fine. As I arrive w/in Schengen, just get out of plane and go to get the bags, take CDGVAL to CDG-2, then check-in with DL at 2E (I think check-in cut-off at CDG is 1h, so I have 1h50m to get over there from CDG-1, that should be more than enough to wait and get the bags and make my way over).
Anyone see any problems with this, or any suggestions on how to do this as quickly as possible (such as any short-cuts, any PM fast-lines not well marked, etc.)?
No way to check-in my bags at CDG-1 though (I know that other airports do), I need to drag them along to CDG-2E check-in with DL, right? (For sure the most annoying part of conneting within CDG!)
