bdschobel already described perfectly the public transport. I just want to add:
- the ticket for public transport costs around 3.2EUR
- this ticket is valid on the S-Bahn from the airport to the main station and on the tram (no #16). The tram stops directly in front of the hotel.

I don't know how they treat silver members. I was always very satisfied, see for a short report.
