Really? Leaving a known checkin loophole open for four (4) years after learning about it, then layering an auto-checkin procedure on top of it that could further exploit it, is nowhere near darn close to perfect in my book.
And not adding passengers to waitlists for un-upgraded segments on web mileage upgrades is not exactly doing everything they can to assign upgrades in the correct order.
CO can be very clugy in the upgrade department.

I don't think that is changing here, just that the advance part is messed up. I'd imagine that they're going to fix it rather than leave it the way it is now.
I'm sure they'll fix it. The question is when. It's been going on for several weeks now.
