So handhelds two way radios are allowed?

I also use a CPAP which I need to handcarry wherever I go (if spending overnights). Can I put it in a seperate bag other than my handcarry and declare the CPAP as my hospital equipment or medicine treatment (which it really is for my sleep apnea)?
