I do the redeye all the time, although I travel all the way back to the east coast, so I get more sleep. Sat night will be the most expensive night. Also consider that you can just check your bags with the hotel concierge.

Ok, I gotcha. So if we stay at NYNY, I should join there. But its good to hit the different casino's, right? I can rotate among them - like walk down to MGM and Harrah's, for example.

Budget...well, for air and hotel we were thinking a thousand for both. Being that is what the vacation packages were going for.

So if I can book air and hotel separate and get it cheaper...I'm on it. But if not, then it's a thousand.

The rest of the budget is about 1500 for the rest of the weekend. A grand for me to gamble and the rest for us to eat, shop, drinks and sight see. My girlfriend isn't a gambler, so her portion of this will be cheaper.

Eating will be done on the cheap with the exception of one really nice dinner. I'm good with a burger here and there to tide me over.
