The Palm Desert location looks much newer. I've not stayed there, but have driven by several times.

The Palm Springs property's primary advantage is proximity to the airport for an early morning departure, but otherwise is nothing special and a bit overpriced. I actually paid more for one night here than at the Renaissance (ex-Stouffer) resort in Indian Wells, but needed the airport thing.
