Anyone who is thinking of visiting Brugge, needs to rent the movie "In Brugge" which, in my option, totally captures the city perfectly. Its a place you either love or hate, put me in the "hate" column. Brugge would certainly require a change of train, so isn't quite as easy to get to as other options.

I had thought of recommending Brussels, but it is somewhat further on the train and you'd need to do more walking to see the attractions as compared to Antwerp. Good mussels, however!
