A nifty chart I admit, and while I don't refute its data I do my fare searching on Kayak, for some reason I get the opposite.
It's possible that booking out of MHT is still more expensive, hence people don't book it. Let's say you want to go From MHT to any secondary airport out west on a *A carrier. You are going to go MHT-hub-hub2-destination.
If you leave BOS you are going BOS-Hub-destination.
Example destination: Missoula, MT
BOS $869 1 stop
MHT $1135 2 stops
Now I know you can find exaples to the contrary but this is what many of us who fly from the BOS region see every day. Many times it's cheaper to go nonstop from BOS to LAX or SFO than ex MHT and connect. Are these fairs included in the above referenced charts? Doubtful. Now try booking MHT to far east and see what happens visavis BOS.
