Interesting - seems people have had a bit of an inconsistent experience. It doesn't make great business sense for DL to leave seats up front empty if there is a rev. opportunity.

Only upgrading a single leg is really desirable - I don't mind sitting in Y on the way back - its just a bit killer to try to sleep flying east.
