We enjoyed our stay at the Sheraton Jerusalem years ago but I believe even SPG has now pulled out of Israel.
SPG did a partial pull out (one of the Sheratons in Tel Aviv and the Jerusalem Sheraton were axed) however they still have properties in Tel Aviv, Eilat, and the Dead Sea.
The service at the Jerusalem Sheraton was *awful* and I wasn't upset to see it go.

I spoke with a cousin who lives outside Tel Aviv and who travels heavily - apparently there was a Hyatt planned beach-side in TLV several years ago (maybe the same one
1/4MM@20 is referring to) but my cousin hasn't heard a peep about it in a while.
