I was in the AA Admirals Club at SJC and saw workers putting up the free Google wifi banners on the side of the parking garage. At the same time, I noticed the free SJC wifi was not working. Coincidence? Perhaps Google will be taking over management of the wifi network.

I am happy to see Boston finally getting free wifi. Boston always seems to feel like the "me too" kid when it comes to innovation. The city wants to seem like Hollywood but goes gaga over B-list celebs like a tourist in LA. The city wants to be like Silicon Valley but falls short on tech innovation. The city wants to be a financial center like Wall Street but financial companies are fleeing the city. A real shame.
