Does aa.com have a bug importing secure flight information

I'm trying to set up a reservation for two people using miles from my account, though I'm not travelling on this flight. When I go to enter the AAdvantage number of the first passenger I get a pop-up box that invites me to import the secure flight information based on the passengers account number. If I select that (I'm keen to avoid mistakes!) I always get a "System error" screen that tells me "This feature is currently unavailable. Please wait a few moments and try again."

Importing seems to work for the second passenger but does anyone else get this with the first passenger? Presumably the solution is to manually enter the data?
