NYC (Friday 10pm) -> Hallowe'en (Saturday) -> Brunch (Sunday) ->
JFK -> BA 002 -> Canary Wharf office (Monday 8pm).
The day time flight to London would be an unaffordable luxury. In fact another friend was annoyed when I said that C was joining me in New York for Hallowe'en: "What! He told me he couldnt' come to New Orleans for Hallowe'en because he couldn't spare the time off work." I replied that he had been right.
I bet they get paid a lot more than I do though - you work in Finance right

. If they don't then they need to ask themselves some serious questions.
I seem to remember you telling a story about a chap who earned
over GBP 300k booking Y for his honeymoon and expecting to get an upgrade (he did not). To earn that kind of money you have to be either overpaid or both outrageously talented and working a huge number of hours.
